Cyber Monday 2026

We may earn a commission if you buy through links on this page.

Cyber Monday 2026 is Monday, November 30. It is the Monday after Thanksgiving (November 26) and three days after Black Friday (November 27).

This is the online half of the weekend: computers, headphones, games, small appliances, and anything you did not want to stand in line for. It is also when shipping cutoffs start to matter if the gift has to arrive before mid-December.

When it is

Cyber Monday is not a floating civic holiday. It is the first Monday after Thanksgiving. In 2026 that is November 30.

A lot of “Cyber Week” pricing now starts Sunday night and runs through Tuesday. If you missed a Black Friday laptop or tablet, this is the first place to look before you assume it is gone until Christmas.

What to expect

  • Electronics again, with more “online exclusive” bundles (extra storage, a case, a shorter warranty).
  • Software, games, gift cards that do not need a truck.
  • Apparel and shoes if you know the size. Returns are the whole game.
  • Delivery dates on the product page beat any homepage countdown.

How to shop it

  1. Filter for items that can still arrive when you need them. A cheap printer that lands on December 23 is not a deal.
  2. Read whether it is sold by Amazon or a third-party seller. Returns follow the seller.
  3. Match the exact model number against Black Friday. Some “new” Cyber Monday SKUs are a worse bundle at a similar price.
  4. If it is a gift, add a ship-to-recipient option only after you check packing slips and prices printed on the invoice.
  5. Keep a not-this-week list. Green Monday (December 14) still exists for late orders.

Shipping and safety

Cyber Monday only works if the box arrives. On November 30 you still have time for standard shipping on most of the country, but not if you pick a slow third-party seller. Prefer Prime dates you can see, or in-store pickup from a retailer with a real counter.

Pay with a method you can reverse. Avoid “too cheap” listings that just went live that morning with no reviews on the seller.

FAQ

Is Cyber Monday only Amazon?
No. The name started as a US online-shopping push in 2005 (National Retail Federation). Amazon is one store among many. Our links go to Amazon because that is the program this site uses.
Should I wait for Green Monday instead?
Only if you missed the item or you are buying something that still has stock in mid-December. Cyber Monday is the safer cutoff for slower shipping.
Do prices drop again after Monday?
Some do, some bounce back Tuesday. If it is on your list and the live price looks right, buy it. Watching a graph all week is how people miss stock.

Short history

“Cyber Monday” was coined in 2005 by Shop.org / the National Retail Federation to describe the surge of people buying online once they were back at work after Thanksgiving. It stuck because the internet was a better place to compare electronics than a 5 a.m. line. The date is still the Monday after Thanksgiving in the US.
