A short, defendable timeline
Informal October 26 food holiday. Secondary U.S. day calendars list National Pumpkin Day near peak pumpkin season and ahead of Halloween. A verified founder of the observance is not clearly documented.
Seasonal context, not day founding. Jack-o’-lantern carving, pumpkin patches, and autumn baking explain why the calendar day exists in food lists - they do not prove a government proclamation. Pumpkin spice is a cultural note, not a medical claim.
This page does not claim Pumpkin Day equals Halloween, invent 2026 patch deals, treat pumpkin beer as the primary celebration path, or publish industry dollar figures without a named USDA or industry year source.
